Man found beside overturned vehicle on rural road claims that he found it that way

No this is not a Waterford Whispers type article. According to the Irish Examiner, Liam Dineen from Co.Cork told gardaí that he had “been walking home from birthday celebrations in Clonakilty when he found his car overturned on the road at Carhoo, Timoleague, shortly after 7am on March 6 last.”

Imagine the scene, the gardai stumble across a single vehicle accident on a rural road and are met by Liam who is standing beside his overturned car with a “strong smell of alcohol on his breath” claiming that he had just happened to find it that way.

In the end the 22 year old was convicted of the charge of failing to provide the information to gardaí and fined him €800.
